It happens to me all the time. I meet really awesome cool people. And they live far away. And i dont mean, the other side of sydney, but in different countries. People who i can envision hanging out with lots, talking smack, eating chocolate with, and maybe even watching a bit of L word here and there.
It sucks.
someone invent bloody instant, free, travel! Put the aviation industry out of business! (that fact that i was training to be a pilot will seem kinda ironic here!)

i just invented teleporting through the microwave.
[theres a slight chance of radiation leakage and potential harm to the subjects] but in my opinion its completely harm free.
